This engineer will support the development of complete driveline systems, subsystems, and components. In this technical lead role, you will:

  • Lead design/development of new driveline products/systems from concept to production – emphasis will be on electrified products and include the responsibility for delivery of both mechanical and electrical systems
  • Develop/implement product demonstration strategies
  • Partner with functions such as program management, mechatronics, etc., to execute product strategy
  • Lead the generation of DFMEA, DVP&R, BD, PD, SDS, Functional Safety and related documentation – emphasis is on cascading full requirements
  • Work in partnership with benchmarking organization to collect needed data
  • Take ownership of deliverables and lead issues resolution


  • BS in engineering, MS preferred
  • Minimum three years’ experience in driveline (or chassis systems) design, ten years of overall engineering experience
  • Prefer someone with five years designing driveline and/or electrified systems/subsystems
  • Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics and vehicle-level attributes and target-setting processes – prefer application experience in vehicle dynamics or vehicle integration engineering
  • Strong in systems engineering fundamentals, including quality documentation, DFMEA, BD, PD, IM, DVP&R, etc., with application of these to electrified drivetrain programs and team leadership highly desirable
  • Working knowledge of control systems (CAN, strategy, calibration, software release process); experience with Vector tools, dSPACE MicroAutoBox preferred
  • Familiarity with functional safety (ISO26262) and requirements management tools (DOORS, Polarion, VSEM or Enterprise Architect)
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (typically, up to 20%)
