Seeking an Advanced Product Engineer (Actuators), focusing on the design and development of new driveline actuators and active torque transfer products. Working closely with other members of the engineering team and internal/external customers, this engineer will:

  • Lead design efforts for electromechanical products
  • Develop/coordinate component drawings and engineering specifications
  • Establish actuator and component design based on cost effective manufacturing techniques
  • Develop tests for the optimization/verification of new products
  • Develop and maintain design FMEAs
  • Develop/coordinate prototype build plans
  • Lead/support advanced product quality planning activities
  • Estimate, monitor and track engineering costs
  • Support program timing for engineering activities necessary to meet key milestones and overall program timelines
  • Develop and support VA/VE cost savings proposals
  • Actively interface with other critical functions (i.e. application engineering, manufacturing and business development) within the organization


  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in automotive actuators, motors and electromechanical systems
  • Ability to create 3D models and detail prints
  • Experience or knowledge of electronics, differentials, clutch and actuation technologies
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing techniques and dimensional capabilities
  • Must be a self-directed and motivated individual who is willing to accept responsibility
  • Basic understanding of electronics
  • Excellent writing, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Must have strong project management/follow-up skills in order to organize multiple responsibilities and meet multiple deadlines
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills to work with people at all levels within and outside of the company in a professional manner
  • Must be able and willing to travel domestically and internationally
